ESPA Says Consistent Concern for the City and Employees is Reason for Support
EAST ORANGE, New Jersey, April 30 2017 -  ESPA, the Engineering Supervisory Personnel Association, the trade group for engineering and professional level engineering employees, has thrown their endorsement for Mayor behind Ted R. Green.
Donald Wharton, longtime President of ESPA said, “As President of ESPA, we would like to formally endorse Ted Green for Mayor of the City of East Orange.”

Executive Board & Rep Council Vote to Support Longtime Resident & Council President
EAST ORANGE, New Jersey, May 9, 2017 – The East Orange Education Association today endorsed Ted R. Green for Mayor of East Orange.  The endorsement came today at the meeting of the Executive Board and Rep Council at their headquarters on Central Avenue in East Orange.
Jacqui Gradington, President of the East Orange Education Association (EOEA) said, “Ted has shown us through his work on the City Council, particularly as President, that he cares about East Orange.  He is a product of the public-school system – so he not only understands the value of public education, he also supports the work of educators who everyday are changing the lives of the children they teach and mentor.”

20170425_123421.jpgApril 26, 2017 - East Orange - East Orange Tenant Leaders from 18 senior citizen buildings have announced their endorsement of East Orange Mayoral Candidate Ted R. Green.  Ted Green said, “I want to thank the Senior Building Tenant Presidents.  Each of them plays an important role in the provision of housing and the quality of life for seniors in East Orange.”  The endorsement was made at a lunch meeting.  He continued, “This listening session, was for us - all of the City Council candidates, 1st Ward Councilman Chris James, 2nd Ward Councilman Romal Bullock, 3rd Ward Council Candidate Bergson Leneus, 4th Ward Councilwoman Tyshammie Cooper and 5th Ward Councilwoman Alicia Holman, an important part of understanding the needs of seniors living in senior housing.  Freeholder President Britnee Timberlake, who is seeing re-election, participated in the meeting as well.  Green said, "The meeting was an opportunity to hear first-hand from those on the front line of housing for one of our most vulnerable populations.”  East Orange is home to thousands of seniors – some of the larger senior buildings house up to nearly 1,000 people. The Green Team has conducted a number of listening sessions with East Orange seniors on a number of issues including housing, programs and services, access to health care, public safety and more.  "We will continue to work closely with the Presidents and the tenants to ensure the best quality of life possible for them."

EAST ORANGE, New Jersey – April 19, 2017 – Teamsters Industrial and Allied Workers Union, Local 97, has announced their endorsement of East Orange Mayoral candidate, Ted R. Green.   The endorsement was led by President John Gerow and included the Executive Board.
“Ted Green has been active in East Orange for more than 25 years through his volunteerism, civic work and his career in municipal government and ultimately in public office - he has dedicated his life to public service,” said John Gerow, President of Local 
Teamsters 97.  He added, “For this reason and many more, we find him the perfect candidate for Mayor to lead the city forward and to work with organized labor to accomplish many of the cities goals.”
The Teamsters have nearly 7,000 members including employees of University Hospital and Rutgers University, as well as the Industrial/Allied workers.  
20170418_163917.jpgTed Green said, “I want to thank John and the leadership of Teamsters Local 97 for their  endorsement.  Organized labor is an important part of my family history and my history.”  Green also stated that his father and mother are retired educators and his uncle had a lengthy career as an unionized ironworker.  In addition, Ted added, “I was a proud member of Communications Workers of America – and we have many outstanding union workers employed in municipal government and citizens who are employed in unionized labor as well.” 
“Organized labor is the foundation of the workforce of our country and a major part of the City of East Orange.  My focus is to work with employees and cities to move the city forward,” Green added.
